Lock-down meant that usual landscape photography trips were limited to views from the house and garden. As a night time photographer I turned my eyes skyward and tried to catch some of the astronomical events during April.

The Planets Align
Mars, Saturn and Jupiter aligned with the moon on the morning of the 15th April. Well what else is there to do at 4am?
Mooning
Clear Skys and interesting shadows make the moon an interesting subject when you are confined to barracks.
Venus and Pleiades
The planet Venus and Pleiades, also known as the seven sisters, are only in conjunction once every eight years and it happened on Friday 3rd April 2020. Amazingly there were clear skies so here is a picture.
The Milky Way Season
After a long wait over the winter months the galactic core started to become visible. Although capturing the Milky Way may be tricky enough, processing the image can be a lot worse! Hopefully I will get better as the season matures.
