Most of late February and early March was spent practicing for a sponsored night hike ascending Pen Y Fan in the Brecon Beacons. Luckily not far from us, we ascended three times in completely different weather, gale force winds which forced us to turn back nearing the top, blizzards and brilliant sunshine complete with a cloud inversion.
We participated in the night hike along with 250 other people all for Cancer Research Wales which made the eventual hike up and down in the drizzle well worth it.

A beautiful day for walking up a mountain
Great cloud inversion today
Across to Pen Y Fan from Corn Du
View of Sugar Load from Skirrid on another practice hike
Just to show the elevation climbed
And to prove we actually walked it!
