A bleak day with little promise turned into some spectacular views as the cloud began to lift and the 360 degree views of the Malverns, Black Mountains and Bristol Channel into Wales.

Eventually the sun broke through the cloud and lit up fields as if directing the viewer across an animated map in a museum exhibit.

The Trig Point at the top of the hill, like the brick wartime radio building give a great point to aim for in the climb up the hill.

Returning in the evening we missed the sunset as we left late and took in far too much oxygen as we puffed and wheezed up the hill. Great clouds during blue hour though.
